Summers Kiss Goodbye and Autumns Hug Hello

Growing up I loved summer, just like any other kid. I loved swimming, staying up late, being able to hangout with my friends whenever I wanted, and always having something to do.

Now that I am older, I don't have the same feeling towards summer. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing it come after a cool spring, but the freedom I once felt during summer is now gone. Summer to me now is full of busy schedules, but I think that goes for everyone.

But just like every ending, it gives you time to reminisce on the times spent with the ones you love, doing the things you love most. The bittersweet moment of the summers kiss goodbye. It is mixed with excitement to see what the upcoming season holds and a little sadness of another season gone.

September, is where summer and autumn meet and after a few weeks of mingling, summer departs for another part of the world, leaving autumn behind.

I welcome autumn with open arms. There is NOTHING BETTER than the crisp air that autumn brings. The smell of damp grass, after a night rain. The colors of the leaves starting to change and fall into piles of joy. The feel of a slight breeze hitting your face, every time you step outside. The fact that football games and pumpkin spiced lattes are coming soon. Autumn is, also, the season when the idea of reading a book next to a cozy candle, trumps almost everything else.

I seriously could go on and on. But the beauty of autumn is, it reminds of how beautiful it is to let things go.

You know what I am talking about. Those grudges that you have held onto from a month ago, a year, five years, or maybe even 10 years ago. However long it is, I can tell you that it is a horrible thing for you to do. You are holding onto so much pain and anger, that is killing you slowly. It is stopping you from truly being happy.

We need to forgive one another. Trust Me. I know it is one of the hardest things to do, because you have been hurt, but this is coming from someone who has been there. It turns you into this ugly human being, that is so wrapped up in hating or revenge that you lose sight of who you truly are. Please, DO NOT BE LIKE THAT.

I hate to break it to you, but more than one person in your life, will hurt you. Some worse than others, but you will have people come into your life or people that have always been there, and they will let you down or break a promise. Some will do it deliberately and some might not even realize they hurt you. Just like you, will more than likely do to them. But, the difference between you and them, could be the choice of forgiveness.

The best way is to tell the person directly that you forgive them, but if you some reason you can't do that, write it down. Write all the things you want to say down on a piece of paper and then pray over it. The relief you will feel, when all the negative emotions exit your body, will be one of the best feelings in the world.

31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32 Ahh this verse just shows us how perfectly, imperfect we are. There is one person that is perfect and that is Jesus Christ. Due to his blood spill, on the cross we are forgiven. Did you hear that? WE ARE FORGIVEN! The God of the Universe has forgiving us, so why can't we forgive our neighbors. Our sins put Jesus on the cross. A man that did NOTHING wrong, and yet he paid the ultimate price for us. He laid down his life for us. Gods love for us was so strong, he gave his own son to sacrifice, because of that overwhelming love we are forgiven. So, the next time you pray forgive those who wronged you and thank the Lord in Heaven for His sacrifice. The sacrifice that taught us about love and forgiveness. Much Love, Kylie
